This week the gallery had a diverse scenery of art, the artist that I had the chance to speak to is Chelsea Blecha. I learned that Chelsea will is a senior, she is graduating with a degree in illustration. She spoke about her mom being an artist. Her mother works for Nordstrom, and due to being exposed to art at a young age, she began to draw at the age of three.
Most of the art she had in her exposition, were drawings, they mostly look like ink and color pencil. One of the pieces I really enjoyed was the wooden skate board. She used the bottom of the board. She also had sketches of what looked like interior design.
She explained that all of her drawings come from her experiences. Most of her drawings were new, she was inspired by her trip to San Francisco. The board represents her teenage days when she used a skateboard.
Her exposition was beautiful. Her drawings were very delicate and pristine. The colors seemed very natural. Over all of the artists that had their work up, hers caught my attention right away.
